Tommie Sunshine Hits HALO for Free Performance Monday, March 23

Renowned Producer, Songwriter, DJ Brings Legendary Live Performance & DJ Sets to Atlanta For One Night Only Before Heading to Miami’s Winter Music Conference

Tommie Sunshine, renowned producer, songwriter, DJ and former Atlanta, Ga. resident is performing at HALO on Monday, March 23 beginning at 10 p.m. The sophisticated upscale bar located underneath the historic Biltmore Hotel in heart of Midtown is home to the city’s best and longest running industry night, HALO Monday Nights, and has earned a reputation as a haven for electronic music aficionados. Free admission for Tommie Sunshine for ages 21+ with a valid ID.

Influenced by equal parts New Wave, Rock & Roll, and House music, American rave legend and Brooklyn, NY resident Tommie Sunshine is raising the bar and bringing his legendry hybrid of live performance and DJ sets to HALO. An artist, remixer, producer, label owner, DJ and songwriter, Sunshine has been travelling the globe and has played everywhere from the dirtiest dive bars to the Guggenheim Museum. Studio collaborations include Felix da Housecat, James Murphy, Arthur Baker, Mylo and DJ Hell. An established remixer, Tommie (alongside collaborator Mark Verbos) has been requested to retouch work from a diverse list that includes Louis XVI, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Good Charlotte, Kid Alex, Princess Superstar, Elvis Presley, Fallout Boy, Gang of Four, My Robot Friend, The Killers, ‘Da Brat, P.O.D., Fischerspooner, The Faint, Kill Hannah, IMA Robot, Ladytron, and Avril Lavigne. Major fashion houses have also sourced out Sunshine for his deck time such as Versace, Raf Simons, Chanel, Xavier Delcour and Jeremey Scott – Beverly Hills. While in Atlanta, Sunshine ran Satellite Records and played at clubs throughout the city. Tommie's latest endeavour, a hard hitting, bass heavy, house music mix album titled Relax, This Won't Hurt, was released on Ultra Records on October 21 2008.

HALO is open Monday through Friday from 5 p.m. to 3 a.m. and Saturday from 8 p.m. to 3 a.m. There is no cover charge before 10 p.m. Convenient and affordable covered parking for only $5 is located at the Biltmore Parking Garage, which can be accessed from both Cypress and 6th Streets. Door-front valet parking will be available in coming weeks.
