Fayette: The Fred features local talent at Open Mic Night

Looking for an inexpensive night of great entertainment and fun? The Fred will showcase local bands, musicians and even comedy on Saturday, May 9th beginning at 7 pm. Doors will open at 6:30 and the “ticket” for the night is a Fred wrist band that may be purchased for $5.00 in advance or $10.00 the night of the show at the Box Office.

Eighteen different acts are scheduled to perform so attendees should plan on a full three hour program. Bands are allowed no more than twelve minutes with soloists allotted six minutes each. The bands scheduled to perform include The Reformed Band, Gravity, Almost Covered Band, CTW, Woolsee Creek, Krysta Nick & Gopher Broke, Geezer, Shavaughn, Remedy, and Jed. Soloists include Jeremiah and John Hobbs, Rachael Stanford, Chelsie Boyd, Kevin Carlson, Paige McCauley, Jake Eugene and Sean Thompson. Participants will be judged on stage presence, musical ability, voice quality and overall crowd appeal.

Our band, Remedy, will be playing at this event and really look forward to seeing all our friends and family at the show. It's an outstanding opportunity for local bands to play at a venue they might never get the chance to play in and we're really excited about performing there.

Thanks for promoting the event and thanks to the Fred for supporting local bands!
