Jubilant Sykes at Spivey Hall this Saturday

Ring in the holidays with Jubilant Sykes at Clayton State University’s Spivey Hall this Saturday, Dec. 4 at 8:15 p.m.

American baritone and Grammy Award nominee Sykes sings deep from the heart, bringing music to life with a warmth and richness of feeling that enraptures audiences. His acclaimed October 2010 CD release with the London Symphony Orchestra, “Jubilant Sykes Sings Copland and Spirituals,” is swiftly climbing the charts.

Sykes returns to Spivey Hall this Saturday with three superb instrumentalists to perform a wealth of music showcasing his amazing artistry in songs of many styles, including traditional Christmas tunes and spirituals. Joining Sykes will be: Mark Rice, piano; Roberto Mirando, string bass; and Chris Parise, percussion.
